You’ll Need

For the White Chocolate Cake
2 1/2 cups all purpose flour
1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
3/4 tsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt (not kosher)
1 cup buttermilk
1 cup canola or vegetable oil
1/2 cup water
1 tsp. pure vanilla extract
4 large eggs, room temperature
5 oz. quality white chocolate (I used Ghiradelli) melted and slightly cooled
1/4 cup White chocolate chips, for garnish (optional)
For the White Chocolate Buttercream Frosting
1/2 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature
5 oz. quality white chocolate (I used Ghiradelli ) melted and cooled
1/4 tsp. salt
3 – 3 1/2 cups confectioners sugar, sifted
1/4 cup heavy cream
