Old Classic Butter Pound Cake

3 sticks of butter
3 cups sugar
3 cups all purpose flour (sifted 3 to 4 times)
6 eggs
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1- 6oz sour cream
1 tablespoon pure vanilla
Pre heat oven to °325

Cream butter in a large bowl with an electric mixer. (I like the heavy duty ones). Add sugar , one cup at a time and continue to cream it. Add eggs one at a time while mixing. Soft the baking soda and salt with the flour. Sometimes the salt is too course to be sifted so make sure you add what’s left in the sifter to the flour mix. Add flour to the bowl one half cup at a time. Beat for about 3 minutes, then fold sour cream and vanilla in the mix and Pour into bundt pan…batter will be thick. Bake about 1 hour ( oven temperatures vary, so check the cake for dinners with a toothpick). Most of the time ,I have to bake mine for 1 hour 10 minutes…
