Deep Fried Salmon Filet

Deep Frying is hobby that’s near and dear to my heart lol! My fiancé came up with this idea to fry salmon filets. I was quite skeptical at first.

Salmon is a very lean that’s fabulous when pan-seared and baked, or even grilled. I was unsure how it would hold up to the extreme heat of the fryer.

It turns out that all you need is a batter that will stand up to the grease and adhere to the salmon.

You’ll need :

•4 Salmon Filets
•3 Tbsp Old Bay Seasoning
•1 Tsp Salt
•1 Tsp Pepper
•1 Egg
•3 Cups Flour
•1 Cup CornMeal
•1 Tsp Crushed Red Pepper Flakes
•Oil For Frying

Directions :

In a large bowl mix flour, corn meal, and 1 Tbsp of Old Bay together. In a seperate bowl whisk together egg and 1 Tbsp of Old Bay. Sprinkle remaining Old Bay and pepper on salmon.
Roll salmon in flour mixture, then in the egg mixture, then back into the flour mixture.
Deep Fry or Pan Fry for 6-7 minutes or until golden brown! Sprinkle fish with salmon immediately after you drain from the hot grease!
