Homemade Cookie Dough Brownie Bombs – A Sweet Explosion!

Prep Time: 15 minutes | Freezing Time: 30 minutes | Baking Time: 10–12 minutes | Total Time: 1 hour | Servings: 12–15 bombs

Ingredients:

For the Cookie Dough:
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup granulated sugar
2 tsp vanilla extract
2 tbsp milk
1 cup all-purpose flour (heat-treated or baked at 350Β°F for 5 minutes to kill bacteria)
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 cup mini chocolate chips

For the Brownie Coating:
1 box brownie mix (plus the ingredients called for on the box)
1 cup mini chocolate chips (for coating)

Instructions:

Prepare the Cookie Dough:
In a large bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
Add the vanilla extract and milk, and mix until well combined.
Gradually add the flour and salt, stirring until a dough forms.
Fold in the mini chocolate chips.

Form the Cookie Dough Balls:
5. Roll the cookie dough into small balls, about 1-inch in diameter, and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Freeze for 30 minutes to firm up.

Prepare the Brownie Coating:
6. Preheat the oven according to the brownie mix instructions.
7. Prepare the brownie batter according to the package instructions.
8. Stir in the mini chocolate chips for extra gooeyness and flavor.

Coat the Cookie Dough Balls:
9. Once the cookie dough balls are firm, dip each one into the brownie batter, making sure it’s fully coated.
10. Place the coated cookie dough balls back on the parchment-lined sheet.

Bake the Brownie Bombs:
11. Bake according to the brownie mix instructions (typically 10–12 minutes), but check early to ensure they don’t overcook. You want the brownie to be set around the cookie dough but still gooey inside.

Serve:
12. Allow the brownie bombs to cool for a few minutes before serving. The inside will be a gooey combination of cookie dough and brownie heaven!
