3 Cups Sugar
5 Eggs (Room Temperature)
1/2 Tsp Baking Powder
1/4 Tsp Salt
1 Tsp Cinnamon
1/2 Tsp Nutmeg
1 Cup Milk (Room Temperature)
1 Tablespoon of Pure Vanilla Extract
1 Tsp Cream Bouquet
1/2 Cup Brown Sugar & 1 Tsp Cinnamon to dust cake pan and add to top of apple pie filling and batter.

APPLE FILLING:

4 Granny Smith Apples
1/2 C Brown Sugar or more to your preferred taste
1 Tsp Cinnamon or more to your preferred taste
1 Tablespoon Butter
Dash of salt

FOR GLAZE I USED:

Powdered Sugar
Water

DIRECTIONS :

  1. Preheat your oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit (163 degrees Celsius). Grease a 10-inch (25 cm) bundt pan with butter or cooking spray, then dust with a mixture of 1/2 cup brown sugar and 1 tsp cinnamon.
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream 3 sticks of butter with 3 cups of sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add 5 eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together 3 cups of cake flour, 1/2 tsp baking powder, 1/4 tsp salt, 1 tsp cinnamon, and 1/2 tsp nutmeg.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with 1 cup of room temperature milk. Mix until well combined.
  6. Stir in 1 tbsp of pure vanilla extract and 1 tsp of cream bouquet.
  7. In a medium-sized saucepan, combine 4 peeled and diced Granny Smith apples, 1/2 cup brown sugar, 1 tsp cinnamon, 1 tbsp butter, and a dash of salt. Cook over medium heat until the apples are soft and the sugar has dissolved, about 10 minutes.
  8. Pour half of the cake batter into the prepared bundt pan. Spoon the apple filling over the batter, spreading it evenly. Pour the remaining cake batter over the apple filling.
  9. Sprinkle 1/2 cup of brown sugar and 1 tsp of cinnamon on top of the cake batter.
  10. Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour 15-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
  11. Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  12. In a small mixing bowl, whisk together powdered sugar and water to make a glaze. Drizzle the glaze over the cooled cake.
  13. Serve and enjoy your delicious Apple Pie Pound Cake!

Tips:

  1. Use room temperature ingredients for best results.
  2. Dusting the cake pan with a mixture of brown sugar and cinnamon adds a delicious crust to the cake.
  3. Be careful not to overmix the batter to ensure a moist and tender cake.
  4. Let the cake cool completely before adding the glaze to prevent it from melting.
