DIRECTIONS :
- Preheat your oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit (163 degrees Celsius). Grease a 10-inch (25 cm) bundt pan with butter or cooking spray, then dust with a mixture of 1/2 cup brown sugar and 1 tsp cinnamon.
- In a mixing bowl, cream 3 sticks of butter with 3 cups of sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add 5 eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together 3 cups of cake flour, 1/2 tsp baking powder, 1/4 tsp salt, 1 tsp cinnamon, and 1/2 tsp nutmeg.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with 1 cup of room temperature milk. Mix until well combined.
- Stir in 1 tbsp of pure vanilla extract and 1 tsp of cream bouquet.
- In a medium-sized saucepan, combine 4 peeled and diced Granny Smith apples, 1/2 cup brown sugar, 1 tsp cinnamon, 1 tbsp butter, and a dash of salt. Cook over medium heat until the apples are soft and the sugar has dissolved, about 10 minutes.
- Pour half of the cake batter into the prepared bundt pan. Spoon the apple filling over the batter, spreading it evenly. Pour the remaining cake batter over the apple filling.
- Sprinkle 1/2 cup of brown sugar and 1 tsp of cinnamon on top of the cake batter.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour 15-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
- Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
- In a small mixing bowl, whisk together powdered sugar and water to make a glaze. Drizzle the glaze over the cooled cake.
- Serve and enjoy your delicious Apple Pie Pound Cake!
Tips:
