7-Up Cake with Glaze

Preheat oven 325 degrees

3 – Sticks Butter
3 – Cups Sugar
5 – Large Eggs
3 – Cups All Purpose Flour
2 – Tsp Lemon Extract
1 – Tsp Vanilla Extract
1 – Cup 7-Up Soda

Mix butter until Smooth
Mix In Sugar until until fluffy
Add egg one at a time and beat after each add
Add Flour gradually
Add Extracts
Mix everything for about 2 mins
Pour batter into greased and floured Bundt pan.
Place pan in preheated oven
Bake on 325 degrees for 1hr 15 mins depending on your oven
Test your cake to see if it is done by gently inserting long toothpick. If it comes out clean, the cake should be done.
Let cool for 10 mins, then invert onto cake plate
Cool completely
Pour glaze on top (see below for glaze)

 Glaze

5 tablespoons butter
2 cups sifted powdered sugar
2 to 4 tablespoons milk or use hot water, depending on the consistency you want
2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Melt butter gently in a saucepan on the stove or in the microwave; use a microwave safe bowl

Sift 2 cups of powdered sugar in a separate bowl
Add the melted butter, 2 tablespoons of milk or hot water and vanilla extract
Stir until blended
Best with electric mixer until smooth. Use less or more water or milk depending on your desired consistency
