It is rich in beta-carotene, polyphenol and flavonoids. Anti-oxidants help in acting against the oxidative damage by free substances in the body. It is very necessary to control oxidative damage as it is responsible for ageing and serious diseases like cancer. These anti-oxidants present in Kale are beneficial in lowering the blood pressure levels, for anti-viral and anti-cancer effects.
