Healthy Sausage Gravy on Toast—For One!

Childhood Classic right out of Momaw’s Kitchen! We love it!

A sausage gravy that is super satisfying—at a mere 120 calories!

1 teaspoon Butter
1 Tablespoon Chopped Onion
1 teaspoon Flour
¼ cups Skim Milk
2 whole Links Of Turkey Breakfast Sausage, Cooked And Minced Fine
Salt And Freshly Cracked Black Pepper
2 slices Toast, For Serving

Melt the butter with the onions over medium heat in a small skillet. Once melted, stir in the flour. Let the mixture cook for one minute. Reduce heat to medium low and add milk, whisking constantly to remove lumps.
Let the mixture bubble and thicken, stirring often. Once the gravy can coat the back of a spoon, add in a pinch of salt and a few generous grinds of pepper. Stir in the cooked sausage and serve over toast.
